MAP & GLOBE

Switch between the 2D map and 3D globe. Explore groups of navigation satellites, dated GNSS observations and environmental context.

  • 2D map and 3D globe · UTC / TAI · Time Zone
  • Satellite layers, weather and solar activity
  • Explore by place and date · information on hover, click and tap

ANALYSIS & REPORTS

Analyze the available GNSS observation records for a place and time period. Compare indicators and prepare a report with sources and limitations.

  • History and UTC timeline
  • Sources, coverage and visible uncertainties
  • PDF, image and data exports

REGIONAL ALERTS

Choose a geographic area. Receive an email when a change in the available daily GNSS summaries meets the alert conditions.

  • Custom geographic area
  • Email registration with confirmation
  • Pause and unsubscribe at any time

Alerts are based on daily summaries. They do not constitute instantaneous detection of interference.

DATA & API

Use dated observations in your own analyses. API access provides available archived data together with source information and conditions of use.

  • Personal access after email verification
  • Observations and reception indicators
  • Visible quotas and extended access request

DATA, COVERAGE AND FREQUENCY

GNSS quality cells from aerial observations are presented on a daily basis. A global map does not mean that every region is observed.

Aircraft observations depend on the data provider, geographic coverage and radio reception. Check the timestamp of each observation.

Satellite positions are calculated from orbital elements. Station measurements come from available public data acquisitions. Modelled geometry and measured observations must be interpreted separately.

Historical playback uses only the archives retained by the service. Available periods vary by source. Weather, solar activity and other contextual events do not establish the cause of a GNSS disturbance.

UTC, TAI and time zones on the map and globe

A discreet clock shows the current UTC date and time in the top-right corner of the map and globe. Its NTP reference is obtained server-side from METAS; network delay is compensated and an estimated precision margin is displayed. Visible milliseconds do not guarantee metrological accuracy to one millisecond.

TAI appears below UTC with its current offset: TAI − UTC = +37 s. It is derived from synchronised UTC and the official offset. UTC and TAI use the same SI second; the 0.9 s limit concerns UT1−UTC, not TAI−UTC.

Open the time-reference group in the layer menu and enable Time Zone. Fine outlines show civil time zones, including oceans, with current local times and GMT±HH:mm offsets. Daylight saving rules and half-hour or quarter-hour offsets are included. Boundaries are simplified for display and remain approximate.

Hover over a zone for a temporary tooltip; click or tap to keep a panel open with its date, local time and GMT offset. Close it with ×, Escape or an outside click. UTC/TAI clock information is also available on hover, click and keyboard: Tab, then Enter or Space.

These clocks show the current time independently of the selected analysis period. When comparing observations, retain the analysis date and UTC interval. Without a valid UTC reference, no substitute local or TAI time is invented; time-zone outlines may remain visible.
